Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact information you provide, such as your name and mobile phone number, when you call our phone line, book an appointment, or request information.
• Appointment and eligibility information you provide so we can schedule and prepare for your visit, for example the reason for your visit and whether you have insurance or qualify for a further discount.
• Health information you share with us in the course of receiving dental care, handled as described under “Health information” below.
• Automatically collected website information, such as basic device and usage data, when you visit mcdc.care.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule, confirm, and provide dental care.
• Respond to your requests and send you information you asked for, including appointment booking links and clinic details by text message.
• Operate, maintain, and improve our services and website.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Text messaging (SMS)

When you phone our number and choose a keypad option that asks us to text you, that request is your consent to receive the single informational text message you asked for. We send text messages only in response to a request you make; we do not send unsolicited or marketing text messages.

• Message frequency: you receive a message only when you request one, typically one message per request.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You may receive a final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.
• For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at info@mcdc.care.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information is never shared or sold

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, including your mobile phone number, with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide care and operate the Clinic, and only as permitted or required by law: for example with the licensed volunteer dentists and staff involved in your care, with service providers who help us operate our phone and scheduling systems under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law. As stated above, your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data are never shared for marketing purposes.

Health information

Makkah Community Dental Clinic is registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, and your health information is protected under applicable law, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) where it applies. We do not include personal health details in our text messages; the texts we send contain only the general clinic information or booking links you requested.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may also contact us at info@mcdc.care to ask about the information we hold about you or to make a request regarding it.

Children’s privacy

Our services are directed to patients and their parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect information from children except as part of providing dental care requested by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
