Volunteers
The clinic runs on volunteers
Makkah Community Dental Clinic runs entirely on volunteers. Dentists, registered dental assistants, and front-desk help all give their weekend to keep the clinic open, and every patient we see is seen because somebody chose to be here.
Where we need help
Three roles
Dentists
Licensed in Texas. You work within what you judge you can provide safely and comfortably, and you decide what gets referred out.
Registered dental assistants
Two stations: radiographs and photographs in the X-ray room, or chairside with the doctor in the treatment room.
Front desk and administration
Check-in, consent forms, payment, booking, and building referral packets. No clinical background needed.
How to register
Register your interest
Complete the volunteer registration form. Tell us your role, your licence or certification where you hold one, and which Sundays suit you.
We get in touch
We confirm your credentials and talk through what your station involves on a clinic day.
Read the playbook before your first shift
Once you are signed up we give you an access code for the clinic playbook on this site. Read the whole thing once before you arrive.
Come to the morning huddle
Every clinic day opens with a huddle run off the playbook. Your first shift starts there.
The registration form is not online yet. In the meantime, email info@mcdc.care.
For volunteers only
Sunday Clinic Playbook
Behind this code: where you stand on liability as a volunteer clinician, how a clinic day runs by role, and the clinic’s licences and filings. Read it before your first shift.
Enter your access code
The clinic gives you this code once you are signed up as a volunteer. It unlocks the playbook on this device and stays unlocked, so you will not be asked again before your shift.
Lost your code, or not a volunteer yet? Email info@mcdc.care.
